This year, eight Thai universities were included in the QS ranking of the best universities in the world. In addition, almost all Thai universities are consistently ranked among the top 500 universities in Asia.
Applicants can choose between 12 public universities and 39 private universities in Thailand. A regulatory body called the Thai Qualifications Framework monitors and supervises higher education in Thailand. A rich curriculum, industry-based training, and practical application of knowledge make Thailand one of the best countries for higher education.
Similar to Western countries, higher education with bachelor's, master's, and PhD degrees is mainly available in Thailand. Admission takes place in spring and autumn, and classes are expected to start in the second week of January and September, respectively.
Admission starts three months before the start of the lectures. Most universities in Thailand follow an admission process, so students should prepare at least a year before the intended semester of admission.
-Certificate of graduation (Last passed examination for bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D.)
-Academic transcripts (Last passed ones for bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D.)
-GRE (Only for Bachelors)
-LOR
-Statement of Purpose
-Language proficiency certification (IELTS/ TOEFL-iBT)
-Application fee payment receipt
Additionally, the transcripts have to be translated if they are outside of English.
Almost all universities in Thailand follow a centralized admission system determined by each university. This procedure applies to bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in the same way.
However, for master's degree programs based on theses, candidates can contact the professor in advance. Applicants will still need to go through the admissions and central review process, but supervisors will expedite the process.
Admission process for the doctoral degree: Depending on the type of degree, only one supervisor is required.

On average, students can expect to spend around US$600 or BDT 64,079 to US$1,200 or BDT 128,158 per month on living expenses in Thailand (US$1 = BDT 106). The amount is not fixed and varies greatly depending on the student's lifestyle and spending habits.
